Our story
Ciao! We are a Finnish couple who came to Italy to escape Finland’s long winter.
We found lots of sunshine, happy people and harmony in daily life – and a lovely historical winery.
When we first arrived at località Visette, we knew at once that it was our home. We were charmed by the peace and calm of the place, the vicinity of the village, the courtyard surrounded by vineyards, and the snow-capped mountains on the horizon. We decided to stay and turn this wonderful building – whose walls resonate with the history of Piedmont and Barolo – into a guest house. We want to continue the story of the house, leave our mark on it and give our guests an opportunity to do that too.

Before moving to Italy, I worked in Finland in the field of environmental communication. I am still very interested in all environmental issues. If you have any suggestions or ideas on how we can make Visette more environmentally friendly, I am eagerly listening. Tennis is also my passion. I am always ready for a game. Challenge me!
Petteri
My work has involved travelling and living in hotels for the last 20 years. Our service is largely based on this experience – I know what a tired traveller need. I also have more than 15 years of experience in organising training sessions, meetings and group events for demanding corporate customers and their management groups.
I’m a wine and food aficionado, and a passionate home cook. I know where the best restaurants are in this area, which of them has the friendliest staff and which wineries are a must. Come and have a drink with me!
